For years the Black community has been targeted by racists and eugenicists within the abortion industry. The truth surrounding this horror is being brought to light. New research shows that a majority of Black Americans know that abortion has been a tool used against them. Alveda King and Catherine Davis join Straight Talk on Life Issues to discuss this important research.

Black Americans Know Abortion’s Racist Roots
A trusted polling firm has delivered a reality check regarding abortion with significant repercussions.
Pew Research Center found that 58% of Black Americans believe the government is using abortion and birth control to limit the growth of their population.
Pew also acknowledged the long-held view by many Black Americans that Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood have engaged in a prolonged legacy of eugenics against their race.
Planned Parenthood has admitted that this is true.
Reproductive Racism
Lila Rose and James O’Keefe meet with Brad to discuss their recent undercover call placed to Planned Parenthood. James posed as a father desiring to donate money to Planned Parenthood and requested his donation to be exclusively used to abort an African American baby. What was their intention for placing such a call?
As reported by the U.S. Center of Disease Control and the Alan Guttmacher Institute, over 14 million black babies have been aborted since 1973. The CDC also reports that African American women make up 13% of the American population, but they are having 37% of the abortions. Intentional or unintentional, Planned Parenthood is playing a role in these statistics.
Protecting Black Life
What is the number one killer of African Americans? The first time Shannon Nixson was asked this question she did not think the answer would be abortion. As a community counselor to many women in her home city, Shannon was very aware of the prevalence of abortion among young African American women. Not until recently was she aware of the threatening reality that legalized abortion is taking the lives of an estimated 438 thousand black babies each year.

Research Reveals Aggressive Racist Agenda
In spite of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York removing the name of their racist and eugenicist founder from their flagship abortion facility; in spite of various affiliates pledging to stamp out racism in response to staff accusations, the abortion conglomerate continues to press an aggressive business model that targets women of color and their babies for abortion.
New research by Life Issues Institute documents current and ongoing activities by this abortion giant that would make Margaret Sanger proud.

Investigation: Planned Parenthood Speeds Targeting of Minorities
No civil society should provide taxpayer funding to a corporation who purposefully kills innocent pre-born humans and benefits financially from doing so.
Indeed, Planned Parenthood has shown itself to be a bad actor in many other ways, including its apparent willingness to profit from aborted baby parts, its promotion of abortion to teens, its concealment of sexual abuses, and its strong resistance to any abortion industry reforms that would ensure the safety of women.
Moreover, Protecting Black Life, an outreach of Life Issues Institute, documented in its 2012 research that Planned Parenthood targets women of color for abortion by placing 79 percent of its surgical abortion facilities within walking distance of minority neighborhoods.
Worse yet, our recent research shows that the abortion giant has accelerated this targeting of minorities near its 25 new abortion mega-centers.

Planned Parenthood Targets Minority Neighborhoods
2010 Census results reveal that Planned Parenthood is targeting minority neighborhoods. It has located 79% of its 165 surgical abortion facilities within walking distance of African American or Hispanic/Latino neighborhoods. Planned Parenthood located 62% of its abortion facilities within 2 miles of African American neighborhoods, and 64% near Hispanic or Latino neighborhoods, thus establishing them as “targeted neighborhoods.” Sadly, Black women are three times more likely to have an abortion than White women, and Hispanic or Latino women are nearly twice as likely.
