Planned Parenthood considers itself to be the gatekeeper to curtailing teenage pregnancy.  Should a state legislator mention the idea of ending their tax funding, the abortion giant channels Chicken Little and claims the sky would fall and teenage pregnancy rates would skyrocket if elected officials cut off their state tax dollars.  In 2010, Texas excluded Planned Parenthood from the state family planning program.

Cole and Zayda Carpenter met in the 5th grade. Zayda ended up pregnant at 14 with Cole’s baby. They were both 15 when their daughter Delia was born. They graduated high school, maintained jobs, and took on extracurricular activities throughout high school. They are both now 19 with two kids.

Michael J. New, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Practice at The Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America, a Senior Associate Scholar at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, and a Paige Comstock Cunningham Senior Fellow at Americans United for Life.  Dr. New researches and writes about the social science of sanctity of life issues.
