Oregon Walkout Success

Good news on the situation in Oregon, where pro-life Republican state senators staged a walk-out to stop extreme pro-abortion legislation.  The parties reached a compromise.  The bill now requires that parents give consent before a daughter under fifteen can have an abortion.  Pro-abortion Democrats also dropped their efforts to repeal the crime of “concealing the death of an infant,” and they removed taxpayer-funded grants to provide chemical abortion pills on college campuses.  Democrats also agreed to kill an amendment to the state constitution to create a right to unrestricted abortion on demand.  See just how radical this legislation was?  Considering the political climate in Oregon, this is a significant victory for LIFE.  Our thanks to these Republicans who took a bold stand for life.
