A trend is developing in America’s towns and cities. Take Texas for example. Six towns have declared themselves abortion-free sanctuaries for unborn babies. The city of Gilbert is the latest to join Tenaha, Waskom, Omaha, Naples and Joaquin. Additional towns in Utah, Kansas and even New York State are taking bold measures to protect their most vulnerable citizens. It’s in response to extreme pro-abortion legislation passed in states like New York, Illinois and Vermont allowing abortion until birth and infanticide for babies who survive the abortion procedure. There’s some debate whether these measures will survive judicial scrutiny, but I admire their boldness in taking a stand for life in the face of deadly violence against those who are powerless to defend themselves. I hope more states will follow.
