This week we are joined once again by Dr. Ingrid Skop and Dr. Susan Bane as we continue our discussion on the dangers of Chemical abortion. Our expert guests share true stories of the horrors of chemical abortion and the damage they have seen it cause. They also set the record straight on recent tragedies that have been used by the pro-abortionists to attack pro-life laws.

Chemical Abortion Pills Kill Mother and Twins
It is no surprise that pro-abortion activists are willing to lie; it is the backbone of the entire industry. However, the false narrative surrounding the tragic death of a mother and her twin babies in Georgia is nothing short of sinister.
Amber Nicole Thurman, a young mother from Georgia, tragically passed away following complications from the chemical abortion of her unborn twins. The single mother left behind her six-year-old son.
Chemical Abortion: A Brief Overview
Chemical abortions now account for the majority of induced abortions in the U.S. They are typically accomplished with a two-drug regimen consisting of mifepristone followed by misoprostol. The former drug blocks the action of progesterone, depriving the developing embryo or fetus of essential nutrients and oxygen for survival. The latter causes uterine contractions that expel the embryo along with other pregnancy tissue. This drug combination is inaccurately touted as being as “safe as Tylenol”, a false narrative that has been used to justify removing important safeguards on chemical abortion, placing the health and safety of women and girls at risk.

What is the Truth about the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. U.S. Food and Drug Administration lawsuit?
The Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (AHM), a consortium of medical organizations that seek to practice in accordance with Hippocratic principles by not electively ending human life, includes the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG), American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds), Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA), Catholic Medical Association (CMA), and Coptic Medical Association of North America (CMANA). AHM and four physicians who have cared for women suffering chemical abortion complications sued the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and its key leaders on behalf of themselves, their members and their patients, alleging that the FDA failed to protect women and girls seeking abortion when it “chose politics over science and approved chemical abortion drugs for use in the United States.”
United Kingdom Data Deficiencies Influencing U.S. FDA Decisions
This is a peer-reviewed study published in Issues in Law and Medicine.
The U.S. FDA has permanently removed the in-person prescribing requirements that previously safeguarded the use of mifepristone/misoprostol medical abortions, allowing prescribing through telemedicine or on-line ordering and distribution through the mail and pharmacies, without standard pre-abortion testing. This will increase the risk of complications due to failure to adequately determine the gestational age or rule out ectopic pregnancy by ultrasound or physical exam. The FDA justified this action by referencing flawed studies with significantly undercounted complications. The details of these study deficiencies are examined in this paper.
