There is perhaps no greater honor in life than creating a lasting legacy through your children. Setting a good example and honoring the sanctity of life can carry on through generations and impact countless lives. This week we speak with Kariss Farris, grandchild of Dr. Tony and Lois Evans, and Rachel-Ruth Lotz granddaughter of Billy Graham. Together they are a shining example of the continued legacy of children.

Anne and Rachel-Ruth offer a warm and inspiring glimpse into their family life, sharing stories that reveal spiritual wisdom and practical insight for raising the next generation of Jesus Followers.
In order to instill truth that leads to genuine faith, parents and grandparents must be intentional. Using the metaphor of a relay race, Anne and her daughter, Rachel-Ruth, demonstrate how the baton of faith is passed from generation to generation through our witness, our worship, our walk, and our work. Within the framework of Anne’s exploration of biblical characters from Genesis 5, Rachel-Ruth tells family stories that will encourage, inspire, and motivate Christians to follow hard after Jesus and to develop their children and grandchildren into Jesus Followers.

Preparing to Meet Jesus is based on the Biblical account in Genesis that describes Abraham sending his servant to find a suitable bride for his son Isaac. It details how the faithful servant found Rebekah, a woman of remarkable character who met the father’s criteria. That story is an allegory of God the Father who sends His Servant, the Holy Spirit, to find a desirable Bride for His Son Jesus.
With this in mind, Anne and Rachel-Ruth explore 21 characteristics of Rebekah that the Father desires to be found in the Bride of His Son. They have used each of these characteristics as the basis for a twenty one-day challenge, with prompts for reflection and prayer, to prepare you for the critical moment of the “first look”, so that you are transformed into a beautiful “Bride who has made Herself ready” (Revelation 19:7).

Together it’s an impressive visual testimony of a legacy… continue reading →
