Cincinnati, OH (Jan 13, 2013) – Planned Parenthood’s 2011-2012 Annual Report is evidence that its abortion business is booming. A record high 333,964 abortions were performed. This continues a consistent year-over-year increase that has climbed a staggering 69 percent or the equivalent of more than 136,894 abortions annually since 2000.
Planned Parenthood frequently tries to focus attention on the other health services its clinics provide. Yet cancer screening and prevention services have dropped by 29 percent.
Further evidence that Planned Parenthood relies on abortion for its business plan lies in the location of its surgical abortion facilities. A recent study revealed that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of African American and Hispanic/Latino communities. Minority women are nearly three times more likely than Caucasian women to have an abortion. This makes minority communities the prime location for abortion business.
In addition, this annual report reveals disturbing facts about the amount of blood money Planned Parenthood receives. Its revenue topped $1.2 billion, and of that government funding represents an overwhelming $542.4 million, over 45 percent of the groups annual budget.
