After Roe v. Wade: What Could Happen

Bradley Mattes   |   July 12, 2018

The nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the US Supreme Court has generated a shrill response from pro-abortion activists and politicians.

Pro-abortion liberals are saying Kavanaugh’s confirmation would “directly lead to the deaths of countless women.”

Here’s a more realistic prediction of what may happen.

No one can predict the future, but we expect that any justice who respects the Constitution and the legal process recognizes that legal abortion until birth is extreme.

Such a majority could confront Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton head-on and reverse these decisions that legalized abortion for any reason throughout pregnancy. Or they could gut them from within.

The most likely outcome would be to restore legislative power to the states.

America is only one of seven countries to allow elective abortion of babies at five months and beyond. We’re in the company of nations like China, North Korea and Vietnam.

That does not reflect the will of our nation. Abortion is not settled law but was imposed on all 50 states by seven male Supreme Court Justices. How we treat unborn children isn’t settled in the hearts and minds of the American people, otherwise states would not have passed hundreds of pro-life laws designed to protect babies and their moms, especially in recent years.

As it currently stands, about a third of the states are legally positioned to strengthen protections for unborn children if no longer blocked by Roe.

A third are either already legally prepared to keep abortion on-demand, independent of Roe (California, Maryland, etc.), or the makeup of the state government is such that abortion will almost certainly remain virtually unlimited as it is now (states like New York, New Jersey, etc.).

The remaining third are likely to have vigorous debates – previously impeded by Roe – to find consensus about how to protect unborn children and their mothers.

This is when our fellow Americans will be confronted with the realities of abortion and compelled to debate the tough questions of when babies should be protected during pregnancy and the reasons, if any, they would support abortion. We believe that the more people discuss and learn about the truth of what abortion really is, they will be persuaded to choose life.

Reaching democratic consensus is what this nation is all about, and it’s what distinguishes us from pro-abortion activists who pretend to protect women and supposedly have broad popular support. But in reality, they depend on unelected judges to impose and advance their radical policy on the entire nation.

The strength of the pro-life movement has always been in the grassroots – the millions of women, men and youth who hold a passion for justice and want babies protected. This is where we will excel and save millions of lives while sparing their parents the devastating impact abortion often inflicts.

But we first must get Judge Kavanaugh confirmed to the US Supreme Court, and your help is absolutely crucial. We’ve made it easy for you to contact your senators and urge them to support Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation. It will literally only take 60 seconds.

Then, please share this message and link with five other pro-lifers. Like I said, our strength is in the grassroots, and we must mobilize them now to save future generations.

For the babies and their mothers,

  1. I have been very impressed with learning about and hearing Judge Kavanaugh speak and feel that he would be a justice who would respect the law and constitution.

  2. Yes I agree. It is an ongoing battle. However a major step in the right direction to protect the unborn.
    Satan will not give up.
Mary will defeat Satan & her immaculate heart ? will triumph finally.

  3. This is a big sign that God wants his people to finish strong the race He has given us to run. Jesus said: occupy until I return. We have had two wicked kings in a row in the recent past, and now we have a better king.

We should see this as opportunity seizing the moment.

Praise the Lord for your ministry

  4. As I understand the scriptures it is our G-d given duty to preserve life and too promote human life from the womb to the tomb.

  5. My Comment Is: Abortion is NOT HEALTH CARE!!! Abortion is OUTRIGHT MURDER!!! People who think and say that abortion is health care and attribute it to women’s rights, are justifying the GREATEST EVIL in this world! These people are TRULY MISGUIDED and need prayer – A LOT OF PRAYERS!!!
I agree that Mary will DEFEAT SATAN AND HIS EVIL!!!
Mary’s IMMACULATE HEART will TRIUMPH and it is coming VERY VERY SOON!!!
Thank you for the opportunity to express my comment. I hope it helps!!!

  6. May our Mother Mary, Mother of God, guide Judge Kavanaugh to help overturn the horrific opinion of roe vs. wade & abolish abortion!

  7. Please confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the bench. He is a good person and a fine defender of the constitution

  8. Please confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Our babies, mothers & fathers need this man.

  9. Brett Kavanaugh is an excellent choice for this position and has multitudinous support. He should have yours also. I urge you to vote for him. Thank you.
