”Abortion is the child sacrifice of our time.” Those strong words are from Archbishop Joseph Naumann, head of the Diocese of Kansas City.
The Archbishop is spot-on. Abortion is the greatest civil rights violation of our time, and a clear example of child sacrifice. To those who are undecided on the issue of abortion, consider what company you wish to be in.
The Satanic temple appears to agree with the Archbishop. Abortion is child sacrifice. The Satanic temple issued a statement not long ago arguing that abortion must be legally protected under freedom of religion because it is a “religious ritual” of the Satanic temple.
The satanists encouraged women to recite the “tenets of the Satanic temple” during their abortion saying, “by my body, my blood; by my will, it is done.” By attempting to establish abortion as a religious ritual they hope to circumvent pro-life laws in states where abortion is restricted or banned. Billboards have gone up in states like Texas and Florida advertising this idea that free exercise of religion includes the child sacrifice of abortion.
Even for those who may be secular, there exists an inherent understanding that those who follow the Satanic Temple are seldom on the right side of a moral issue.
It is not often that the Catholic Church, and the Satanists agree on something. But when they do, perhaps it is because the truth is so obvious that it can’t be denied. Abortion takes the life of an innocent child. The pro-abortion lobby can try to hide from this fact, or they can couch their position in kind terms. However, at the end of the day the truth remains. When the curtain is pulled back and the façade is thrown off, we see the truth. Abortion is murder.
For years the abortion lobby spent millions of dollars attempting to mislead the public. To convince women that the precious baby growing inside of them was not human, but just a clump of cells. An illness that could be cured with a medical procedure. Slogans like “safe, rare, and legal” saturated the debate surrounding abortion.
It seems, however, that there has been a shift in the strategy of pro-abortion activists. Rather than hiding from the truth, some seem to be accepting it. Acknowledging what we have known all along—the unborn are innocent human beings. They just do not care.
Now more than ever it is crucial that we expose this great evil for what it is. Take it from the Satanic Temple, abortion is child sacrifice.
