Russia Plays Good and Bad

Bradley Mattes   |   April 02, 2014

Russia’s been in the headlines for invading Ukraine. But I’ve just read about a positive Russian event. Officials have proposed a law that’ll prohibit anyone from Belgium from adopting Russian children. The reason is Belgium has legalized the euthanasia of children. Russian authorities don’t want their children in a dangerous country where they could be euthanized. People often adopt children with disabilities and Belgium is a perilous place for the ”less than perfect” to live. Russia’s also moving to ban adoption by people in any country where euthanasia of children is allowed. It’s ironic Russia’s taking such a protective stand for its children, while risking many other lives invading Ukraine. I have good friends in Ukraine. Please join me in praying for safety and freedom of all Ukrainians.
