A college instructor in La Crosse, Wisconsin, has been charged with double homicide for allegedly killing his pregnant mistress and their unborn child after she refused to have an abortion. Authorities say 27-year-old Alexis Pickett and her unborn baby were found dead in her home.
The suspect allegedly became angry when Pickett chose life and refused to end the pregnancy, saying he did not want another child. Prosecutors have charged him with first-degree intentional homicide of both Pickett and their unborn child.
While we are glad to see the second homicide charge and some level of justice for the baby, why is it homicide to kill this child in the womb but not the hundreds of thousands of babies killed via abortion each year?
