Trump on Abortion

President Trump announced his clarified position on abortion and it’s very disappointing. The former president now says abortion is a state’s rights issue and no longer something to be addressed by Congress.  That’s ignoring reality.  Yes, the Dobbs decision gave states the right to protect the unborn and their mothers from abortion.  It also allowed Congress to deal with the issue on a federal level.  Based on Trump’s position, he would have pro-life members of Congress do nothing while pro-abortion members advanced federal legislation that would allow abortion for any reason throughout pregnancy.  We have seen the evil unleashed since the demise of Roe.  We must fight the evil of abortion on all fronts and yes, Mr. Trump, that includes federal legislation.  Please reevaluate your position.
