Gemma Howard was seventeen and pregnant. She was raised in a Christian home and always pro-life. But the pregnancy invoked a question within herself, “How pro-life am I?” Abortion would solve her immediate problems and she wouldn’t have to face her parents. But Gemma stayed true to her pro-life beliefs and decided on adoption to avoid co-parenting with the baby’s father and proceed with her plans of becoming a pilot. But after the baby’s father died by suicide, she decided to parent. At eight months pregnant Gemma got her pilot’s license. She’s working full time and plans to get her own place with daughter Josephine. An unexpected pregnancy can be the hardest thing you ever face, but choosing life for your baby makes the most difficult thing less challenging.
