Here’s an update on what’s happening with the court challenges to the FDA’s approval of chemical abortion. A three-judge panel of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will review the suit regarding the FDA’s approval of chemical abortion in 2000. Also challenged are the safety measures for women dropped by the FDA and its decision to allow the mailing of these dangerous pills. The Circuit Judges are Jennifer Walker Elrod who previously upheld a law which made it more difficult for abortion facilities to operate in Texas. Cory Wilson who as a legislator in Mississippi voted for heartbeat legislation. James Ho once referred to abortion as a “moral tragedy”. Oral arguments are on May seventeen. We’re cautiously optimistic, but it’s very important we continue to pray.
