State officials are playing hardball with Louisiana’s elected officials who are thumbing their noses at enforcing laws protecting unborn babies. New Orleans’ mayor, sheriff, district attorney and police department have all pledged to not enforce pro-life laws. So, Louisiana’s Bond Commission is taking action. They withheld 39 million dollars from the city for work to be done on a new sewer and water plant. Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin said elected officials can’t “pick and choose what laws we follow…they should all be impeached.” I applaud this brave action. It’s a reminder we must only vote for pro-life candidates regardless of the level of government. I’ve often said I wouldn’t vote a dogcatcher into office unless I knew he or she was pro-life.
