Vindictive Politics

President Biden is playing politics with those working to advocate for individuals with Down syndrome, and he’s hurting the people he claims to protect.  The president fired Kurt Kondrich from the Presidential Commission for Persons with Disabilities.  I know Kurt well, and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone more passionate and effective as an advocate for people with Down syndrome.  His daughter, Chloe, has the condition.  Kurt and Chloe have tirelessly promoted bi-partisan legislation.  Yet Biden is firing anyone appointed by President Trump.  Biden’s vindictive politics has no place in the advocacy of people with disabilities.  It’s a clear example why DC has been referred to as the Swamp.  Mr. Biden needs to do a soul check on this one.  It’s a tragic injustice of politics.
