In a welcome development, independent presidential hopeful Robert Kennedy Jr. has backtracked on his support for full-term abortions. Kennedy previously stated that he supported abortion “even if it’s full-term.”

In his recent statement, Kennedy said, “There are actually a huge amount…of elective abortions at that time. In the ninth month you’re basically killing a child, right?”

Brad Mattes, President of Life Issues Institute commented, “He’s right but they’re also killing a child in the seventh week or any time after fertilization. Every pro-abortion candidate should be made accountable. Ask them if there’s any time during pregnancy, they think an unborn child should be protected.”

Life Issues Institute celebrates that this truth is being brought to light. Late-term elective abortions have been publicly denied by the pro-abortion lobby, but this reality can no longer be denied.

Presidential candidate, and former Democrat, Kennedy’s statement acknowledging the “huge” number of full-term abortions is no doubt a painful sight for abortion advocates. The conversation surrounding radical support for full-term abortions must now be had at the presidential level.

The more we shine a light on the reality of abortion, the more babies we save.

Life Issues Institute is dedicated to changing hearts and minds of millions of people through pro-life education. Organizations and individuals around the world depend upon Life Issues Institute to provide the latest information and effective tools to protect innocent human life from fertilization to natural death.
