As we close our week honoring those who uphold the purpose behind Parents’ Day, we look at Marilyn Hatch who was peacefully offering hope and alternatives to women going into a Missoula, Montana abortion center. A heavy-handed police officer arrested her for her actions. That is until an attorney with the Thomas More Society reminded the city that her actions were protected by the First Amendment. Missoula was directed to drop the charges or face a lawsuit they could not win. It didn’t take long for the city to realize they wronged one of their citizens and moved to dismiss the charges against Marilyn. Her boldness in standing up against the evil of pro-abortion bureaucracy means more parents can protect their children with alternatives to abortion.
