One of the most encouraging developments of the year is the US Supreme Court’s decision to review a Mississippi law that could end abortion at 15 weeks. A poll commissioned by the Susan B Anthony List shows a clear advantage for politicians who support similar legislation. The poll of likely voters consistently shows both Independent and Republican voters are more likely to support candidates who would curb abortion on demand throughout pregnancy. And in most scenarios, Democrat voters were fairly evenly divided. As Supreme Court justices contemplate advancing protections for the unborn and their mothers, it should be encouraging to them that a majority of Americans have the Court’s back on ending its deadly legacy of abortion.
