Does the abortion issue impact a voter’s choice? Yes! Polling has consistently shown pro-life candidates enjoy more support from like-minded voters than pro-abortion candidates do. This past election was no different. A poll by the respected McLaughlin and Associates showed nearly a quarter of voters cast votes for pro-life candidates, while only 18% cast a pro-abortion vote. This gave pro-life candidates a 5-point advantage, which is an important difference in close elections. We saw this evidence played across America. Eighteen pro-life women were elected to Congress. Half of them defeated pro-abortion incumbents, and about a third of voters saw a pro-life message before the election produced by various pro-life groups. Voting pro-life saves lives.
