Mississippi has some heroes among them who must be recognized. These people were instrumental in passing legislation that protects unborn babies from lethal discrimination. The Life Equality Act ends abortion when done because of a child’s race, sex, disability, or genetic makeup. State Rep Carolyn Crawford authored the House bill; Senator Jenifer Branning sponsored it in the Senate. House Speaker Philip Gunn, State Rep Nick Bain, Senate Judiciary Chair Brice Wiggins and Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann provided crucial leadership to make this law and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. They’re an inspiration to other state legislators.
