Today is the National Day of Prayer. It goes without saying that more Americans are likely praying this year than during past observations of the day. Foremost on many minds are prayers for effective vaccines and treatments for COVID-19. Prayers for those stricken with the disease, and family and friends of loved ones taken away by the virus. There’s been a revival of sorts of the expression that human life is sacred, to the extent we heard pro-abortion politicians publicly lament the death of even one person. During your prayers today, please ask the Holy Spirit to grant these elected officials an extra measure of compassion and love for all of our citizens – those inflicted with COVID-19, those searching for cures and America’s unborn babies.
