The North Carolina state legislature is working to pass a bill that would protect a born infant who survived a late-term abortion. It would require he or she receive the same medical treatment as any other newborn baby. But Calla Hales, the director of a chain of abortion centers and a board member of the state affiliate of NARAL, a radical pro-abortion group, opposes the legislation. Calla thinks the child must be thirty days old before considered a person because babies can’t be added to a will until that time. Pro-abortion zealots don’t think newborn infants are people. It’s no surprise considering they refuse to acknowledge personhood anytime during pregnancy. The humanity of the child gets in the way of financial profits of the abortion industry.
