Tippecanoe County Right to Life in Indiana is celebrating a victory. They had a signed contract with CityBus in Lafayette to display a pro-life sign on the busses. It showed two pictures of an unborn child via ultrasound and an infant. Above them it read, “Me. Me again” and above the image of the infant, “Still me.” CityBus changed its mind a week later and refused to run the ad, citing its policy on political advertising, which didn’t hold up. The pro-lifers responded by getting an attorney from Alliance Defending Freedom and sued them – and won. The baby ads are now running for at least sixteen months and CityBus had to change their advertising policy. I’m glad the pro-lifers didn’t allow themselves to be bullied into silence.
