My good friend Joni Eareckson Tada’s cancer is back, yet she sent me this incredible encouragement. “There are countless [Bible] references telling us that God does no harm to his children, only good. Yet to some, my chronic pain, quadriplegia, cancer, and now this new cancer, sure look as though God were harming me. Yes, painful hardships are the dark, driving rain of God’s sovereignty… but the sunshine of His sovereignty is the depth of faith, seasoned wisdom, unshakable peace, settledness of soul, unwavering devotion to Christ, and the ironclad trust that comes from walking through that valley of the shadow of death. This is the ‘good’ God is talking about.” Friends, please keep her in your prayers.
Surely will be praying for Joni for continued peace and for healing. Heaven looks more wonderful all the time! Satan’s darkness will be totally gone! What reunions and wonderful meetings await those of us who have the HOPE of Heaven…whenever our time is over here!
