Ron and Terri Robinson experienced Terri’s bone cancer, delivery of their first child, a leg amputation and given less than six months to live, in that order. Then another pregnancy, and after delivery of their daughter, lung cancer. More children were out, so after their son left for college they started fostering children – over 65. Their specialty was children with special needs. There’s more. During Ron and Terri’s fostering journey, they adopted four children, two with special needs. Doctors said one would never walk or talk. When they took him back to show they were wrong, the doctors and nurses cried. Referring to the kids Ron said, “They’re not an accident, not a mistake. God made them this way. And if we love the Lord, we ought to love them.”
