Three Percent Claim Gets Repeated

Planned Parenthood’s new president, Leana Wen, is repeating the false claim that abortion is only three percent of their services.  The Washington Post and others have called this “misleading” but that hasn’t stopped them from repeating the lie.  Here’s how they manufactured this number.  Each year, well over 300,000 women go into Planned Parenthood for abortions.  When they do, they may have a pregnancy test, STD testing, ultrasound, or pick up birth control pills.  Instead of listing the appointment as an abortion, they count each thing they did as a separate service.  The reality is over 95 percent of pregnant women who enter Planned Parenthood have an abortion.  Their main purpose is being the largest chain of abortion mills in the nation.
