The American Medical Association or AMA was once held in high regard. But now less than a quarter of practicing doctors are AMA members because it’s a political organization. Their official journal recently attacked pro-life women help centers, calling them “unethical” because their most grievous violation is not referring women to abortionists. While abortion mills charge for their services, pro-life pregnancy centers provide everything free, including pregnancy and STD testing and ultrasounds. A new study by the Charlotte Lozier Institute shows the centers last year provided $161 million worth of free services, using tens of thousands of volunteers. Instead of attacking these centers, the AMA should stop playing politics and start praising them.
