Rights for Rivers but Not Babies

Bradley Mattes   |   March 29, 2017

More and more environmental organizations are voicing support for abortion as a way to protect the environment.  Now we’re seeing laws bestowing rights to nature, such as rivers in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  As a result, anyone can sue in a court of law in the name of defending nature.  So rivers, plants and animals would have the same rights as human beings.  It’s no leap in logic to impose abortion on demand throughout pregnancy because human beings are considered a blight on nature.  Even cities like Santa Monica, California, where there’s really no nature to protect, instituted a law recognizing the “rights of nature.”   Make no mistake, radical environmentalism has become a zealous religion that’s imposing its belief on society at the expense of innocent human life.
