Planned Parenthood commissioned a so-called study that made outlandish claims. It said if all women of child-bearing age used Planned Parenthood’s contraception, the abortion rate would drop by over sixty-percent and taxpayers would save $12 billion. Talk about Pollyanna science. All women of child-bearing age will never use contraception. Plus there’s a large body of scientific data that shows heavy promotion of contraception can be ineffective at preventing unexpected pregnancies and lowering the rate of abortion. In some cases, it made the situation worse. If Planned Parenthood wants to shoot for the stars, they should consider abstinence until marriage. It’s clear just how desperate Planned Parenthood is to legitimize their existence and use of your tax dollars.
