What’s your perfect mental image of Christmas? Perhaps it’s being surrounded by family, around a cozy fireplace with a beautiful twinkling Christmas tree nearby. Oh, and a blanket of white snow outside, which may be hard to achieve if you live in Miami or San Diego. Such an idyllic Christmas is far from reality for many Americans. Life’s troubles may be entirely eclipsing their most wonderful time of the year. Young women and men facing an unexpected pregnancy may feel like their world has come to an end and abortion is the only answer. This Christmas please commit to spiritually adopting such a couple and regularly pray for them. Ask the Holy Spirit to send an earthly angel to show them positive, life-affirming alternatives to abortion. Pray, because life depends on it.
