Government Study Shows Abstinence Protects Teens

Bradley Mattes   |   December 15, 2016

The Centers for Disease Control have confirmed you’re right to encourage your children to save sex for marriage.  Their recent study looked at high school students and found those who engaged in physical relationships with the opposite sex reported having unhealthy behaviors.  Those who engaged in encounters with the same sex or both reported the least healthy behaviors of all.  Those who participated in sex outside of marriage were more likely to be involved with 18 violence-related risk behaviors.  The researchers found the same was true with use of tobacco, drugs and alcohol.  Even so, many government-funded entities continue to outright mock abstinence education.  Parents, your children are too precious to give into pressure.  Keep teaching abstinence.
