Putting the Life of Her Baby First

This topic’s appropriate with Mother’s Day just behind us.  Kim Vaillancourt was well into her pregnancy when headaches developed.  Because she was pregnant, Kim went to the doctor.  What they found was devastating.  She had two malignant and aggressive brain tumors.  Immediate surgery removed them, but she delayed chemo and radiation until after Hyatt was born.  Kim and Phil have six kids, three of them adopted siblings—one with serious physical needs.  Considering her situation, the doctors of course offered abortion, but Kim said no.  She put her baby’s life above her own and this isn’t an isolated case.  Several women make the same courageous stand but remain hidden heroes.  Please pray for Kim and all the other mothers who say no to abortion in these situations.
