I was watching the last scene of the movie God’s Not Dead when my son told me the news that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had died. What a shock and what a blow. Justice Scalia was one of our most dependable votes on the Court to stand up for unborn babies. And we’ve worked so hard to get a majority to acknowledge the personhood of our tiniest citizens. We came agonizingly close years ago when it was reported Justice Kennedy changed his vote to overrule Roe at the last minute. Psalm 146: 3 says, “Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.” And that includes the Supreme Court, so let’s continue to work hard to end abortion and put our trust in God. Because, as the movie showed, God’s NOT dead. And he rained supreme.
