The blizzard of twenty-sixteen decided to join us during the recent March for Life in Washington, DC. I and many others hunkered down in our hotels, enjoying warm beds and good food. Not everyone had it so easy. Several buses from North Dakota, Iowa and other states were detained on the Pennsylvania Turnpike when a minor car accident caused a backup of over thirty miles. The busses of mostly young people were stranded for over twenty-four hours. Their response is a lesson to us all. The babies, they said, have to suffer brutal, painful deaths by abortion, so what we’re dealing with isn’t so bad. Occupants of one bus built an altar out of snow on the edge of the interstate and held a church service. More proof God’s always working during tough situations.
