Maria Goldstein went to Office Depot in Schaumburg, Illinois to get five hundred copies of a Prayer for the Conversion of Planned Parenthood. Office Depot refused saying their staff don’t have to print anything they find offensive. Diane Demma, from the Office of the Chairman, dug in her heels saying they were concerned it was “hate material” and “graphic material.” It was a prayer asking God to protect the babies from being killed by abortion and for the spiritual conversion of the abortion staff. Maria got an attorney and grassroots pro-lifers mobilized. Hours after getting her lawyer’s letter, the CEO of Office Depot backed down and apologized. All this makes me wonder if Office Depot would’ve allowed staff to refuse to print a prayer for homosexual marriage. We’ll probably never know.
