What Goes Around Comes Around

Bradley Mattes   |   April 09, 2015

They say, “what goes around comes around” and it’s certainly true in this duo, life-saving story.  Chris Trokey was born premature, weighed just over three pounds and given a fifty-percent chance at surviving.  Dr. Michael Shannon worked around the clock to save Chris’ life.  Thirty years later, Dr. Shannon was in a horrific car accident and trapped in a burning car.  He would’ve certainly died if not for the heroic effort of a young paramedic with the Orange County Fire Department on the scene.  The paramedic’s name was Chris Trokey.  The doctor’s value for human life moved him to take extraordinary efforts to save the life of a baby who one day saved his.  Now, Dr. Shannon’s the pediatrician of Chris’ son.  You see, God has a plan for every baby born, regardless of circumstances.
