When you’re discussing the issue of abortion with someone, have they ever said, “You can’t legislate morality”? Do you know how to respond? Here’s good advice. Say that all laws legislate morality. Every law reflects the value judgment whether or not something should be regulated, permitted or banned. When Christians become intimidated by their “can’t legislate morality” demand, and disapear from the discussion or political realm, bad, anti-life morality fills the void. Make no mistake; it’s about good versus evil. Which one prevails depends upon God blessing our involvement. I believe the sorry state of affairs in our country is due in part to Christians going AWAL when it comes to standing up for morality in legislation and influences on society. We must be good stewards of God’s will.
