One of the best assets of the pro-life movement is the many young people filling our ranks. Several students participated in the annual Walk for Life in San Francisco held in January. What they experienced was not what they expected. After arriving with their pro-life signs, they were shocked to be met with a level of hatred never seen before. Police had to form a human shield around them to keep radical pro-abortion activists from inflicting bodily harm. Sadly, the most hateful are usually those still hurting from their own past abortion. What happened in California was similar to a march I attended in Berlin. The level of hatred seemed satanic. The San Francisco event didn’t frighten off these young people. It made them more determined than ever to keep up the fight.
