The man is a lone voice crying out in the wilderness, and I’m not talking about John the Baptist. I’m referring to Congressman Dan Lipinski from Illinois. Dan’s a true blue pro-lifer down to his toes. And he’s a Democrat. Their species is almost as rare in Washington, DC as a dinosaur. He was the only Democrat addressing Congress during a special session observing the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Later, when Dan addressed us at a dinner in DC, he pled with us to not let abortion become a single party issue—in other words, all Republican. But it’s not we who’re making it this way. It’s the cowardly Democrats who turn their backs on America’s unborn babies and their mothers. We owe Mr. Lipinski a debt of gratitude for holding firm under pressure.
