Today Give Thanks

Today’s Thanksgiving, and no, it’s not a day to take in calories so you can shop till you drop tomorrow. Personally, I think Satan has generated all the commercial Christmas hysteria so we’d forget to give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the many blessings He showers on us each day. God always wants to hear from your thankful heart for all He’s given you. But today should be a special time to set aside everything else and quietly spend time with the Lord—thanking Him. Thank Him for a mother who gave you life. Thank Him for the blessings of newborn babies—be they children, siblings, grandchildren, nieces or nephews. Thank Him for choosing you as His child an heir of eternal salvation. There’ll be plenty of time for Christmas. Right now give thanks.
