Erin and Josh were homeless because of the recession, and living in their car when Erin became pregnant with their third baby. They already had a two-year-old and one-year-old. Planned Parenthood would call it cruel not to abort the third baby. But Erin rejected abortion and little Penelope’s first home was a homeless shelter. With much work and determination, Erin got a job at a convenience store and Josh as a cook. They work opposite shifts to avoid child care and share one vehicle. Their next goal is to find permanent and affordable housing. I wish I could tell you what God’s plan is for Penelope, but we must accept that on faith—faith that God has a plan for every child He allows to be brought into the world. Even if they’re homeless.
