Adult Stem Cells Treat Cerebral Palsy

Bradley Mattes   |   June 21, 2013

Adult stem cells have successfully treated a young boy with cerebral palsy. This is pretty miraculous. The child was left paralyzed, with severe brain damage and in a coma-like state due to a heart attack. His case was considered hopeless. Nine weeks later German doctors injected his own stem cells from the umbilical cord blood they froze and saved. Just weeks later, he began to improve. Two months out he improved significantly. Now he can speak in simple sentences, eat by himself and walk with assistance. In America, a man received a kidney transplant, but they also gave him the donor’s stem cells from bone marrow. As a result, he’s healthy and doesn’t have to take anti-rejection drugs. Yes, adult stem cells are providing miraculous results without killing human embryos.
