Your Smiling Face

Katyia Rowe and her husband were told their unborn baby boy had brain abnormalities that were incompatible with life and recommended an abortion. But Katyia saw her son on real-time ultrasound and it changed her world. She watched in amazement as he blew bubbles, waved his arms and even smiled. Right then and there Katyia was determined to give her baby life, and she was more than happy to dedicate her life fully to his care. It reminds me of the song made famous in the 70a called “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” which is so often true when mothers and fathers see their baby for the first time through the window to the womb of ultrasound. Katyia has no regrets and will never feel anguish over aborting her precious baby boy. I pray other mothers will also choose life.
