If you’d like an emotional pick-me-up, here’s a breath of fresh air. When Nancy Gianni gave birth to GiGi, her daughter with Down syndrome, what little information she received was negative. Nancy decided children like GiGi needed free resources to help families adjust and thrive with the blessings of children with Down syndrome. About a decade ago the first GiGi’s Playhouse was founded. Since then twelve have opened, with more on the way. They’re education centers offering a wide array of free resources like help with speech and language, social development and motor skills. GiGi’s have made a huge impact in many families. If you or someone you know could benefit from more information, visit today’s broadcast link [see below] at life issues dot org and discover the joy of GiGi’s Playhouse.
