Over time, multiple studies have shown that babies conceived by in vitro fertilization are at a higher risk of birth defects. The latest research showed a significantly higher rate of genetic disorders compared with children conceived naturally. The researchers at UCLA presented their findings at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference. They looked at IVF pregnancies in California, which has the highest rate of use in the US. I’m not a fan of in vitro fertilization, mostly because it’s rare for doctors and staff to treat each human embryo as precious life. Those who look sickly or weak are commonly discarded like waste. If you or someone you know is involved with IVF, please make sure you’re fully informed of what takes place and the dangers involved for the babies.
