The Church of Scientology is a cult founded by Elron Hubbard. It teaches we’re reincarnated souls who’ve lived on other planets and have lost our way. As a result, the so-called church sells resources to members at high prices which provide spiritual rehabilitation. It’s been highly controversial since its inception. And now scores of women are coming forward and charging the organization with forcing or coercing them into having abortions against their will. There are also charges of violating federal labor laws. One woman is suing, and the Church of Scientology is fiercely fighting back—some say—because they’ve got a lot to lose if the truth comes out. Others are advocating a massive investigation. If they’re forcing women to abort in the name of religion, they need to be stopped.
