A True Olympic Hero

Bradley Mattes   |   August 01, 2012

During these Summer Olympic Games, I want to remind you of a true hero athlete. Tasha Danvers was Britain’s best hope for a gold medal in the Athens two-thousand four games, but became unexpectedly pregnant by her husband coach. In spite immense pressure to abort, she dropped out of the Olympics to have her son. Tasha returned to the two-thousand eight Olympics in Beijing to claim bronze in the low hurdles. After a succession of injuries, she’s now retired from track and field. But she will always have her beautiful son and an Olympic medal. I did two TV programs with Tasha and her family. You can watch them by going to today’’s broadcast link [see below] at life issues dot org. Tasha’’s a true example of Olympic spirit. I pray God will greatly bless her and her family.
