Vanderbilt Caught Forcing Abortion on Students

Bradley Mattes   |   January 26, 2011

Vanderbilt University has an impressive nursing program. When two fourth-year nursing students wanted to apply for the residency program, they were alarmed to find out they’’d have to participate specifically in abortion procedures, not just care for women who have them. This violates federal law prohibiting universities getting tax dollars from forcing medical professionals to participate in abortion. This was a big problem for Vanderbilt since they get over 300 million federal tax dollars each year. So a complaint was filed with the Department of Health and Human Services. Vanderbilt claimed innocence, but the day after action was taken they changed their policy. This is why your continued support of the pro-life movement is crucial. It allows us to remain vigilant in protecting life.
