From One to Won
We haven’t won yet.
Most political pundits and pollsters believe that Tuesday’s election is in our hands. Conservatives are expected to send dozens of pro-lifers to the US House of Representatives, stripping President Obama of the liberal majority he’s needed to institute pro-abortion policies. They also expect to see significant gains in the US Senate.
But Tuesday hasn’t happened yet, and this is no time to kick back. The rule of thumb is: if you find yourselves not worried about losing the election, then you better start worrying. That’s because our opposition wants us to feel safe and comfortable and drift into inaction. We can’t let that happen.
Absolutely every one of us is needed. If you don’t yet know who to vote for, direct your Internet search engine to look for “endorsed pro-life candidates in (your city or state)”. Voting only takes a few moments, but remember, in doing so, you are helping to give unborn babies a lifetime of their own moments. That’s an investment no one should miss out on.
We’ve seen what a hostile Congress can do in two short years. They’ve enabled the nation’s most pro-abortion president in history to push for federal funding of elective abortions, embryonic stem cell research, population control and rationing of care. They have more in mind for us, too. Their reign of terror must end here.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, please join me in purging Congress of its callousness toward the unborn, the aged and the vulnerable. Together, let’s show President Obama we’re ready for hope and change of our own. And who knows, you could be the one vote that makes it happen.
